Nev http://www.myspace.com/djrichardneville Born in 1982, Richard Neville aka Nev is a producer from Huddersfield in Yorkshire, he began producing dance music in his teenage years. Since he began with his production work he has experimented with trance, electro, house and techno but deep down he feels that his future lies mostly within trance and techno. Starting out like most, Nev had an obsession for music, especially electronic music and from an early age he knew that he wanted to make music and dj for a long time ahead in his life. Growing up, he was heavily influenced by the UK club scene, getting to nights and events like Gatecrasher, Goodgreef, The Orbit, Atomic Jam, Creamfields, Godskitchen and many more, this fuelled his desire even more to create the tracks he does today. In the beginning he started with basic studio programs and equipment, but over the years he has built it up and made it into something that can deliver some of the most cutting edge sounds out there, running software such as Cubase and Ableton. Over the past couple of years the standard and quality of Nev’s productions have vastly improved and he now feels ready to take that step of getting his name out there. Statistics show that his publicity is growing fast. His fan base is increasing rapidly and hundreds of new people are requesting him on his myspace page every week. His tracks have appeared on Internet radio stations such as Afterhours.FM, PureDj and his tracks are beginning to make their way into plenty of djs track listings and in Febuary this year his track ‘Star Power’ made it into Pedro Delgardo’s top 20. ‘Night Flight’ and two different mixes of ‘Battery Man’ have reached a number of djs top ten and top fifty tracks for 2007 and 2008 with massive support from ‘Afterhours.FM’ resident Lazarus and support from James Alexander (Goodgreef), Tom Yelland (Abora) and plenty of others names just to name a few, the list is continuing to grow. Nev recently has done guest mixes for Confusion Live and Deepzone.pl, playing a lot of his own productions and plans on doing more mixes in the future, where you will get to hear some of his latest productions along with other cutting edge trance and tech-trance. |
